Dynatec SMV Invests in New Facility to Build Future Competence

Dynatec SMV, located in Askim, has recently completed the construction of a new industrial building to further develop both products and expertise. The company, formerly known as Skiptvet Mekaniske Verksted, has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality solutions across various industries.

The new facility, spanning 8,000 square meters, doubles the production area, allowing for the accommodation of advanced machinery and the recruitment of additional skilled employees. This expansion is part of a NOK 140 million investment in new infrastructure, machinery, and improved logistics, aimed at meeting the increasing demand from both existing and new clients.

As a member of the Dynatec Group, approximately 70% of Dynatec SMV’s production serves external clients, including sectors such as seismic, subsea, offshore, renewable energy, and alternative energy sources. The company collaborates with research institutions and universities, contributing to the development of next-generation technologies, such as nanomaterials for lithium-ion batteries.

The expansion also emphasizes the company’s commitment to fostering a competent workforce. Dynatec SMV is actively seeking candidates with expertise in CNC operation, programming, welding, and precision measurement. The company values a blend of experienced professionals and young talent to maintain a dynamic and innovative environment.

By investing in state-of-the-art facilities and technology, Dynatec SMV aims to position itself as a national resource in advanced manufacturing and product development, continuing its tradition of close collaboration with clients to optimize solutions and deliver high-quality results.
