Major investments were made in the machine park

In 2025, several major investments were made in the machine park at Dynatec SMV. Among them was the acquisition of three new 5-axis CNC milling machines from the German machine tool manufacturer GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG, supplied through their Nordic partner Johan Nordström Verktygsmaskiner AB.

The machines purchased include a G350, a G550 with pallet magazine, and a G750.

The machines were delivered during January and February and are now installed at our facilities in Holtskogen Næringspark in Tomter. Our team is currently working continuously to become familiar with the new machines, and starting in week 11 personnel from Grob will be on site to provide further training on the control system of the G550.

The installation itself was quite an experience. The largest machine, the G750, weighs an impressive 35 tons. To position it, a mobile crane was required to unload it from the truck, followed by two forklifts operating in tandem to carefully pull this behemoth into the facility using machine skates.

Throughout this process we have built a strong relationship with Grob. After several visits to their factory in Germany, we have been truly impressed by the engineering, precision, and production capabilities of their machines.

As a result, we have already decided to further expand our machine park this year – with another G350 as well as a brand new G840.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Johan Nordström Verktygsmaskiner AB for facilitating this agreement. We would also like to thank Julian Mögele, Steven Nieberle, and Michael Mengewein from GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG for their efforts in making this possible.

Finally, we would like to thank Kevin and Fabien from Grob for their support during the moving and installation process. We look forward to seeing you again soon when the new G350 and G840 arrive!

We look forward to continuing this journey together with Grob and strengthening our collaboration in the years to come. Exciting times lie ahead as we continue our growth.

Optimizing Night Shift Production: Innovation and Efficiency at Dynatec SMV

Dynatec SMV has recently implemented measures to enhance night shift production, focusing on operational efficiency and technological innovation. The goal is to maintain seamless and high-quality production throughout the 24-hour cycle.

Key improvements include:

  • Automated Processes: The adoption of advanced machinery and software ensures precise operations while reducing error margins.
  • Enhanced Communication: Newly introduced digital tools facilitate effective monitoring of production and improve communication between shifts.
  • Upgraded Facilities: Improved infrastructure and amenities provide a better working environment for night shift employees.

Henning Finstad, one of the key contributors to this initiative, highlights the dual focus of the project: "While technological advancements are critical, creating a supportive workplace environment is equally important."

This development aligns with Dynatec SMV's commitment to leveraging technology and enhancing workplace culture. The initiative aims to boost productivity while ensuring consistent product quality, regardless of the time of production.

The company looks forward to receiving feedback from its workforce and clients as it continues to refine its strategies for operational excellence.
